COMPUTERIZED VIDEOKERATOSCOPES DATA DISPLAY Curvature Maps The maps can be displayed on an absolute or a relative scale. The absolute scale is a set dioptric difference between colors which covers the whole range of normal corneal curvatures. With the relative scale setting, the upper and lower values are determined by the steepest and flattest values for the particular cornea being evaluated. The relative maps have smaller differences between color steps. The relative scales are best to see differences at different parts on the cornea or to compare the maps of the same eye at different points in time. The absolute scales are useful when comparing a number of different eyes since the same color on every map represents the same dioptric value.
